Meopham Juniors
Is this a record???????????
Sunday 18 June2006 the U15’s set what we believe to be a record for the highest score attained by a Meopham Junior team.
223-2 in 20 overs against Lordswood.
Michael Orridge opened with Miles Richardson and they put on 100 for the first wicket. Michael was out for 25 and Miles was joined by David Child who was 42 not out at the end.
Miles was finally out with 2 balls of the innings remaining after scoring a magnificent 126, an innings full of authentic cricket shots, timing and power. .
We won by 110 runs!

Anyone driving past Meopham Green on a Wednesday night in May, June & July can't have helped but notice the scores of children being coached and practicing. The club and parents are eternally grateful to Mick Clark, Darren Deeks, Drew Payne, Mike Oliver, Gavin Tovey, Jon Pollard, Richard Tucker & Tony Wade, who give their time and expertise freely to the club and the juniors.
There is now an increasing number of Junior MCC players selected for Senior games on a regular basis, looking to the clubs future we have decided to actively try to increase the amount of Junior cricket played by the club. If any player, parent or friend of MCC could assist please could they contact the Junior coaches. Anyone wishing to train to be an Umpire, Cricket Coach or Scorer please contact Drew Payne. Anyone interested in helping next season with practice nights, transport to games, administration, fund raising, sponsorship, ground keeping, team/match management or refreshments, please contact the Junior organisers.
